irst off thank you for doing this. I probably won’t win but that’s ok I still would like to share my little story. Who ever gets the tank I hope has great success with it.
My short story is I have a small tank 20g. Lost a torch and hammer coral. Temps were low but somehow my house stayed a decent temp. I didn’t loose any fish (thank goodness. If my storm clowns would have passed I know my wife would have told me to take down the tank since those are her favorites (she claims that those are her little buddies). Wrapped the tank with a few blankets to try and keep it warm. Power was on and off for a few days. I don’t know, I don’t have much to say honestly. All in all I have the space for a big tank but can’t afford it. See my wife has quite a few on going medical conditions. We have had a few scares to the point where what would be the next steps if I have to continue life with out her. From her having a blood clot in her brain at 23 to having her thyroid completely removed from a few large nodules on both sides. Having PCOS and hashimoto disease. To just the last year being in the hospital for over a week and three months of having a pic line in her arm waking up day and night to give her medicine for catching necrotizing fasciitis(deadly flesh eating bacteria). I’m not trying to make this a sob story and I know it doesn’t fit the criteria of this giveaway. I find peace in my reef tank with what little fish and coral I can afford. My dream was to always get a large tank. I know my wife would always want me to get something larger but Again it’s not in the budget. Just to make sure we have funds set aside in case my wife falls ill.
Any ways thank you for your time. I don’t know why I shared but maybe I just felt y’all could help make our dreams a reality some how.
