With the Texas storm we had constant power outages for about a 5 day period. During this time my tanks were dropping in temperature constantly. I had a back ups battery supply that could only run the return but due to the constant power outage it couldn’t recharge.
I wrapped the tank with blankets, rolled up towels and sheets under our doors to keep the house warm. There wasn’t much we could do to keep the house warm.
Unfortunately all my well loved fish died. My kids would hand feed them daily and we have countless videos of it. My favorites were my powder blue tang named Lieutenant Dangle, my blue hippo “Dori”, and my fox face named “bunny”.
We also lost multiple corals ranging from acros, monti’s, and a large leather.
I broke down my 125 and now am just running a nano tank with my surviving corals and no fish.
