Woke up at 3am on Sunday night to no power, checked on my tanks two hours later and added some battery powered airstones, at the end of the next day the temperatures were dropping and I started to frantically heat up water over the fire place in a pan and then a funnel to put them in baggies and bottles to float in my tanks. After 2 days I lost the battle our house got below freezing and I couldn’t keep up, I watched as all 4 of my tanks crashed and fish started to die. It broke my heart as some of the fish I had for over 10 years. One fish I’ve had since highschool. It was one of the most discrouraging days I’ve head in the hobby. I lost close to 200 fish and other animals.
